Iconic buildings in Miami

Miami, Kaymanta's second home is filled with amazing architecture. We've selected some of our favorite buildings in the Miami area to share with you. Keep reading to see these beautiful structures.

1111 Lincoln Road

Starting with one that's actually a parking garage; this structure located in 1111 Lincoln Road is known for its sharp and angular corners. But it's not only a garage, it includes offices, stores and also has an amazing restaurant at the rooftop that allegedly has one of the best views in Miami Beach.

 

Pérez Art Museum Miami

Vertical gardens, open spaces and a particular ceiling are what makes the Pérez Art Museum in Downtown Miami a special place to spend an afternoon with friends or staring at the landscape by yourself. It's located in 1103 Biscayne Blvd.

 

The Villa, Casa Casaurina

Also known as the Versace Mansion, it was built in 1930 and its architecture was inspired in the Alcazar de Colón in Santo Domingo. It's most famous for being the home of fashion designer Gianni Versace and eventually the place where he tragically passed away.

 

Freedom Tower

Located in 600 Biscayne Blvd this iconic tower was inspired by Seville's famous Giralda Cathedral Bell Tower and it used to work as a Cuban Assistance Center helping Cuban refugees seek political asylum in the 60s and 70s. It's also known as the Ellis Island of the South and now has a free exhibition about the Cuban diaspora.

 

Miami Tower

The Miami Tower is a magnificent skyscraper located in Downtown Miami which is often referred to as a chameleon. Why a chameleon? you may ask, well, it's because of its changing facade. This building changes color depending on its "mood", like for example, on July 4th it may change to the colors of the North American Flag to celebrate its independence.

 

Hard Rock Seminole Hotel

Hard Rock Cafe never stops impressing us. Its new hotel in Miami has rock n' roll written all over it, with a guitar shaped structure that lights up during the night to the beat of the best music. Pools, spas, restaurants, concerts and more awaits anyone who steps foot in this amazing hotel.
