ACCORDING TO THE MATERIAL
It is very important to know how to distinguish the material with which your carpet has been made since the treatment in one case or another will be different depending on the texture.
Here are some tips that, in our opinion, will make your carpets more durable, helping to improve maintenance.
WOOL
Wool rugs are extremely durable, making them well suited for entryways, hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms.
Lanolin, a natural oil in wool, makes wool rugs more resistant to stains than other materials. Shedding is inherent in wool rugs and occurs mainly in the first 3-6 months. All of our wool rugs use long fiber wool, which is less prone to shedding than shorter fibers.
ICARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Rotate the mat every 3 months to avoid discoloration and uneven wear
• Vacuum regularly in one direction (not back and forth) using suction only, no bristles. Vacuuming regularly will reduce shedding over time
• Avoid pulling loose threads. If necessary, trim them so they are level with the pile.
• Clean stains as needed with a damp (not wet) cloth under running water; do not use soap or cleaning products as they may damage or discolor the carpet.
• For bigger and deeper stains, send the carpet to a professional service with experience in cleaning fine carpets.
BAMBOO SILK
TENCEL
The Tencel ™ is made from wood pulp. It's known for its soft touch and relaxed shine that evokes the qualities of silk. The fiber's affinity for the dye makes it capable of maintaining deep, vibrant colors. Tencel ™ rugs are characterized by tonal variations that can be affected by the light in a room, as well as the angle from which the rug is viewed. Hopefully shifting reflections and lowlights in the color of the carpet surface are inherent in the design.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Rotate the carpet every 3 months to avoid discoloration and uneven wear.
• Vacuum as needed in one direction (not back and forth) using suction only, no bristles.
• Avoid rubbing the stains, which causes them to settle more deeply.
• If you need cleaning, send the carpet to a professional service experienced in cleaning fine carpets.
• To preserve the life of the carpet, we recommend using a carpet pad.
JUTE
• Rotate the rug every 3 months to prevent uneven wear and discoloration.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight as it will fade the color of the carpet.
• Vacuum frequently, using a low-powered vacuum cleaner, preferably one without whipping brush
• Wipe up liquid spills immediately. Clean stains as needed with a damp white cloth only; avoid excess water and cleaning products, as they could damage or discolor the carpet.
• For larger and deeper stains, send the carpet to a professional service with experience in cleaning natural fiber carpets.
• To preserve the life of the carpet, we recommend using a carpet pad.
