Descendant of two important dynasties of painters, it was virtually inevitable that Mariano Fortuny and Madrazo (Granada, 1871-Venice, 1949) would develop artistic inclinations. His art studies in Paris forged his career as a painter and engraver, but Fortuny, curious and restless, also successfully cultivated many other disciplines.
With the collaboration of his wife, Henriette Negrín, Fortuny developed an excellent career as a creator of clothing and fabrics. His Delphos dress is a fashion icon.
®Kaymanta has developed 4 of Fortuny's designs and brought them to carpets of the highest quality.
